New Product: Hydras 3 Pocket PDA Software for Hydrolab Instruments

Hach Environmental is pleased to announce the release of our new Hydras 3 Pocket PDA software for Hydrolab instruments, available September 25, 2006. Hydras 3 Pocket offers all the critical functionality of Hyperterminal (or Hydras 3 LT) on a Windows Mobile-based PDA – including the Trimble Recon. The combination of this new, easy-to-use handheld and Hydrolab's superior sensor technology makes Hydrolab Series 5 sondes the premier solution for water quality monitoring.

Key features of the Hydras 3 Pocket PDA software:

Perform real-time, local water monitoring with a clear and compact handheld communications unit:

• Time series, depth profiling, and manual monitoring options are all available
• Data can be viewed in graphical or tabular formats
• Up to two user-selectable and changeable parameters can be viewed on-screen at once
• Files can be saved to the PDA, then easily transferred to a PC during synchronization

Manage all your log files from a clear and intuitive screen:

• Offers complete set-up and download capability for log files
• Specify start, end, interval, parameters, and more with all the capability of Hydras 3 LT or Hyperterminal
• Download files and immediately view the data on a graph

Calibration is simple with the Hydras 3 Pocket. Users can calibrate Hydrolab instruments while in the field with only a few clicks-with all the functionality of Hydras 3 LT.

The Hydras 3 Pocket also provides all critical functionalities of other communications options in a format so intuitive, you may never need to look at the manual. And it's all available on an open platform PDA instead of a proprietary solution.
