Hach Environmental Announces New Hydrolab and OTT Products

One of the greatest benefits of Hach Environmental's combination of Hydrolab, OTT, and Hach resources is that we are able to continuously develop new and improved products that will help our customers gather their critical data. We've recently added two new products to our overall portfolio to allow you to accurately monitor the parameters that are most important to you.

Blue-Green Algae Sensor

We've partnered with Turner Designs to create a new Blue-Green Algae sensor that uses fluorescence technology to provide real-time measurement of cyanobacteria population levels.

Now, you have a tool that gives you affordable, real-time algae population information, eliminating delays for lab cell counts, and providing more accurate data than visual inspection, permitting you to take corrective action in a timely manner, before an algeal bloom becomes problematic.

This new sensor features an ultra-compact design for integration into the DataSonde 4a, DataSonde 4X or MiniSonde 4a, and is the first sensor of its kind available for multi-parameter equipment. It is available to measure freshwater (phycocyanin) or marine water (phycoerythrin) algae levels from 100 to 2 million cells/mL.

Turner's Secondary Standards provide quick, simple verification of the sensor's stability over time, and the sensor offers fast, accurate measurement because of electronic filtration of ambient light, efficient optical coupling, and the highest quality optical components. More information

PS1 Pressure Level Sensor

The new PS 1 water level sensor is a high-performance, piezoresistive, submersible pressure sensor for accurate, reliable measurement of ground and surface water level and temperature. It provides precise results for water level and temperature measurement, and is compatible with all dataloggers and SCADA systems that can communicate via SDI-12 or accept a 4-20 mA input. The sensor is programmable through a serial interface with 4-20mA custom scalability, and fits into pipes or wells as small as one inch in diameter.

The PS 1 operates using an SDI-12 digital interface or 4-20mA signal output and an integrated microprocessor for temperature compensation of sensor and water density and local acceleration of gravity. It features a laser-welded stainless steel housing, a sealed cable connection and a cable with a non-stretch Kevlar core for stable long-term positioning. More information

More to come!

Our customers have noticed significant increase in the frequency of new product releases over the past year... evidence of the great benefits of the combination of Hydrolab, OTT, and Hach. You can expect even more exciting new products very soon. Stay tuned!
