Hach Company
Hach Company provides advanced analytical systems and technical support for water quality testing with solutions for lab, process, and field. Hach's products are in use around the world, simplifying analysis with reliable, accurate results. Hach Company was started in 1947, in Ames, Iowa (USA), by an enterprising husband and wife team, Clifford and Kathryn Hach. They experienced their first success through the development of a simplified titration method for measuring hardness in drinking water. As the product line expanded to include more parameters and instruments, the company continued to "bring analytical chemistry out of the laboratory and put it into the workplace and in the hands of the general public." From the 1960s through the 1990s, Hach underwent a continuing series of technical and business innovations, including:
In 1999, Hach became a wholly owned subsidiary of Danaher Corporation, which includes more than 30 companies working in the Process/Environmental Controls industries. These product brands include GLI International, Lachat Instruments, Radiometer Analytical, Environmental Test Systems, and of course, Hydrolab and OTT. Strengthened by its sister companies in the environmental industry worldwide, Hach's goal is to continue to provide customers with reliable instrumentation, accurately prepared reagents, proven methods, simplified procedures, and outstanding technical support. Hach's commitment to quality and continuous improvement, as evidenced by ISO 9001 Certification, will help the company continue to create products that meet customers' changing needs. Loveland, Colorado (USA) houses Hach's corporate headquarters, research and development laboratories, and instrument manufacturing operations. A plastics division and the Hach Technical Training Center are also based in the Loveland facilities. More than 500 Hach employees work in Loveland. |
